The same series of questions asked of the English Minister for health were put to Shona Robison MSP in the Scottish parliament. Her answers demonstrated a pro-active approach to the Testosterone Deficiency problem, which is in marked contrast to the English approach. Ann Keen,Under Secretary for Health has been asked to revisit her answers by Mark Simmonds MP.More news when we have it.

THE TDC PETITION TO THE PRIME MINISTER
Following the responses received from the UK government, the TDC launched an e-petition, open to all British Passport holders. It has now closed with 219 signatories
The petition seeks to persuade the Government to launch a new assessment of Testosterone Deficiency in light of recent research. It is hoped the petition, along with other political moves by the TDC will speed to process of awareness and education amongst professionals. We expect a response from the Prime Ministers Office and will post it here when it is received.

SOME BASIC FACTS
  • Testosterone Deficiency results in many possible combinations of symptoms, which include lethargy, mood swings, depression, "brain fog", loss of libido, anger,hot flashes and anxiety.
  • There are many co-morbid conditions associated with low Testosterone
  • An estimated 2 million adult men in the UK suffer from Testosterone Deficiency. Most are of working age and remain undetected.
  • Latest figures for the USA suggest 13 million men over the age of 45 are suffering from Testosterone Deficiency!
